Hi being new to this whole maserati ownership but a little nervous now! It has been raining the last two days of my ownership but when I start my 3200 the throttle gives no response then if I try and drive it like this it will go but nothing above 2000 revs, so I restart and restart again and comes back to normal. She seems to idle rough but not that bad, she has had a new throttle body and throttle pot in the last year seems like the previous owner had the same problem. I have disconnected the battery tonight to see if a reset makes any difference, but if you guys have any ideas please let me know. Cheers Matt

Could be a number of things Matt , a breather/vacuum pipe off, Conaero mentioned similar with his 3200 , there is a temp sensor ( or similar ) underneath the plenum that drips onto some electrics or elctrical component in the V , im sure he will clarify when he comes on , if not send him a PM

regards loz

Matt, the 32's all hunt at idle when cold so don't worry about that. Now if you can't rev above 2k you are in limp mode which can be tripped by a number of things. Do you get an engine light on?

If so you need to get the code read. If not I would start with the wiring on the pedal pot and TB. If you look in the how too guides you will see a thread called 'don't forget the pedal pot' and that details a simple mod on how to bypass the limp mode trigger on the pedal pit. It's a simple snip and merge two wires process. Do that and see how you go.

Thanks for that feel a little better about the situation, I am in Australia for the next couple of weeks then will send it to Roaberts Aerospace (if you guys think is wise) to have annual service and cam belt so maybe he can fix it.
P.s no warning lights

Matt,
firstly welcome to the forum and sorry to hear you are having problems. I am not sure if you know your way round a toolbox(!) but if you do you might want to check if the butterfly in the throttlebody moves freely. To do this, remove the Jubilee ckip holding the intake pipe to the throttlebody and whist the ignition is OFF, try to move the butterfly to the fully closed and fully open position. it should spring back to a slightly open position from both extremes. If it doesn't, your throttlebody is faulty and needs to be sorted. I do this so if you like you can PM me and I can help you.

hope its something simple!

cheers
