Price of Oil/Petrol

Can anyone explain why during the hottest 3 weeks in 10 years why both of the above continue to rise, spoke to my local oil supplier, not one order for oil in last two weeks.........are we all the victims of speculators et al?

Hmmmmmm - just had to order 2000 litres of heating oil this morning, and I wish it had been bought two weeks ago. I'm also at a loss to understand why the price has risen so dramatically in the last fortnight.

The prices in NI are usually quite a bit lower than on mainland........thats a hefty cheque you've written out!

Thanks Frank - already in an oil club, so we get decent prices compared to straight retail. That's 2000 litres just for my place - I've placed an order for 11000 litres for the group, but it seems we've lucked-out on the timing. Everyone expected the prices to take a dive with the heatwave. :(

The oil companies are making hay whilst the sun shines and everyone is doing extra miles on holiday! They know that come the autumn it is (hopefully) time they get investigated for cartelling the prices over recent years.... D'ya think they have????

Lol.......we the public..........the tax payers........are the flock of Golden geese whom, the governments, multi-nationals and the banking system cull at regular intervals....why do we keep coming back for more??!!

Middle East tension (from early July)...and a few supply issues, keeping prices ticking up...
luckily, its not cold, otherwise who knows where the price would be!
