Well, you learn something every day.
I had my front bumper repainted on my 2002 Blu Mediterraneo Spyder and the match was terrible. I instructed the painter to order the paint from PPG which he did and still no joy.
So, I took my Spyder to PPG today and after an hour of searching paint chips and the use of a spectrometer, it was found that the 2002 Blu Mediterraneo is actually a pearl or 3 stage paint, base1, base2 then lacquer. They even did a spray out card for me and the match was perfect.
So, if you are after the paint, contact your local PPG supplier and insist upon Nexa clearer shade Blu Mediterraneo.
Its not cheap either, £50 per half litre and you need 2 types.
