The idea of storing off peak electricity in batteries and using it at peak falls down completely when you factor in the high cost of the batteries and how long they’ll last before needing to be replaced. What’s more, tariffs aren’t stable so any calculation for long term savings need to be taken with a huge pinch of salt.
