Just had a quote for the obvious parts for the above around £6k add on £3k for pssible suspension/steering parts labour around £4K makes it a viable goer and definately worth a pre inspection viewing oh how i wish it was a gts and not a QP

As it's a cat c write off, I am aware that detracts from the sale price once repaired but what is it likely to be worth when done? It is also blue leather which isn't everyone's cup of tea. It would cost almost £15000 to sort out including airbags and any other paint that may need doing etc. It would need to be worth £45-50k for it to be a worthwhile venture. A 2010 car starts at circa £70k whereas a 2008 QP GTS with 35000 miles is £45k. Would people choose a cat c '10 car over an '08 which isn't damaged repaired. It also states on the PH advert that they have a 2008 Granturismo for sale too.

You have just done the maths Dicky , i put its value at around the £50K mark providing its done to a high spec , that would be inline with 30% off the market value of staright car

where one could save is by using used parts where possible , used QP parts are massively more common and cheaper than GT parts , most suspension / panels/airbags are readily available for just under half the new prices

Also i reckon that S-W-S would be willing to accept around the £22K mark , they normally will negotiate down to atleast 10% off , if your into QP definately worth a looksee

IIRC this has been for sale for quite a while....a deal to be done, perhaps?

Thanks Loz. I'm busy with the sale of mine and the purchase of my new one. However I'll have a look in a week or two when I've got the time, might be a worthwhile investment, and an interesting undertaking as I've always steered clear of damaged vehicles in the past.

The 4k miles is the clincher Dicky and the fact that its a 2010 4.7 S , personally i reckon providing it was done by a reputable shop it would resell pretty quick providing it was correctly priced , and photo history of the before and after repair

Searched their site top to bottom , cant find any reference to a GT forsale maybe i'll give them a ring today

I do like the look of that, but not in any postiion to get another car just yet. At the end of summer I might chop in all of the cars and get into something like this.
Loz - good to see you back, with an appetite.

It was a footnote on their Pistonheads advert for the same Quattroporte.
