Plastic wheel nut covers

Hi Guys

I think i have seen a similar post but thought i would share anyway.

I could not stand another day looking at my old sad nuts !

So until i can get the nuts done properly, i have tried to disguise them with some £10 pastic nut covers for the Vauxhaul Insignia !!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320729558810&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Only problem is that they come in dark grey only. So out with the paint.

I think they look pretty good, but the true test will be after a couple of weeks exposed to the elements.

Not bad for a tenner though.

I did think there were some chrome ones on here somewhere I will have a look.

Surely, you could have saved yourself a tenner and just sprayed the nuts with the same paint?

Looks like they will do the job though, very nice.

No, it appears you are right, they only come in grey. Maf was contacting the manufacturers in China, but I have not heard anymore, Maf, any update mate?

Yeah I suppose they are just a quick (maybe temp) fix, but at least i didn't have to remove 20 x wheel nuts !

I would be very interested in the chrome covers but i could not find any 22mm ones.

No joy so far Matt, but it seems that contactnig Chinese companies is a slow, laborious process. The only ones to come back to me want minimum orders in the multi-thousands - doesn't make it viable.

I don't know but I am guessing they would as half a mm (22.5 versus 22) is pretty tiny. I figure a bit of blutak on the inside would do the job. I am going to buy a set so I will let you know. Cheers Geoff
