Folks

If you like exotica there will be a good selection at Wilton House near Salisbury tomorrow:

No Masers scheduled though; the organiser was only interested in MC12's as the rest of the breed is not deemed to be good enough, and he couldn't get one of those anyway! The weather looks 'variable'.

The word T*W*A*T springs to mind.......hope it snows....;)

I actually emailed an associate of the organiser offering to display my still fairly new unblemished GT-S and didn't even get the courtesy of a reply. Poor show in my opinion.
I'd be interested to know what the most main stream, lowest value motor is that's on display. Last year there was a S1 Elise.... Ok, so he's a mate of the organiser but still surely that's not in keeping with the alleged ethos.

So is he forgiving or does he still deserve a pull through with a Christmas tree....

I received a polite reply but the organiser (Jay) declined saying he only wanted MC12's. Last year my Assetto was in the public car park as was a Gran Turismo (yours Dan?) and both received a fair bit of attention. The cars on the lawn did include some rather scabby and ill-prepared Lambos (too many anyway) and lower echelon Ferraris, the Lotus, and MG SV's. I don't think Jay is a silver spoon type, he just seems to have an aversion to Maserati which is strange when you compare its pedigree to that of the Crossbows and Atoms that were also there last year and are listed again today.

Perhaps Jay got knocked back by an MC12 owner and is sulking.

I'm just a few miles from the venue and the skies are grey, with sunny intervals and rain due later.

Hi Phil,

Are you looking to attend, I was thinking of taking my two lads down there. On the PistonHeads site there is a logo to print to hook up with those guys in their area if you feel like it ??

We've just got back after a good afternoon at Wilton House, mostly dry with a couple of odd spots of rain. A good turnout with a Veyron and Enzo, lots of Ferrari's, Morgans etc. I don't understand why Maserati's are not included but speaking to Harsh of Petrolhead Nirvana and he said we can change that for next year.

One other 3200 was parked in the PistonHeads car park area, anyone on here ??

Yep, actually a couple of Zonda's, along with Lambo's Ultima's Aston's a couple of X-Bow's, and Ariel Atom's, the new Mercedes SLS, overall a good showing of great cars but I still don't understand why Maserati seemed to be specifically excluded. There was in fact only one Gransturismo showing some detailing at a trade stand but that was all.

Maybe next year we can make it different
