Seeing the Escort RS turbo brought back fond memories, bought a new one in 86 for £8500 as an end of line runout. I had it for 9 years, stollen twice! Second time was from the office car park and never saw it again. Cheeky sods even got the security guards to raise the car park barrier. When I reported it stollen they commented that they thought it odd someone else driving my car!!!!!

I noticed something was going on at the Heritage Motor Museum at Gaydon today when I was out for a spin..

South Wales, Newport Taliesyn......When I was 17 I just soooo wanted a Ford RS Escort...........I was the car back then.......Must say that red RS 1600 is probably a far more rare car...

Dem love the Sagaris but they ain't cheap.....The last a best model from TVR and a good one will set you bak 40k plus.........

Yes Loz a very, very lovely well looked after Cobra...

Nikos, not a Merc fan but those 300 SL's were lovely..Especialy the red one..If thats what they are.......

Andy, i am a fan of the classic Mercs.

And here is my story...15 years ago there was a 300SL cabrio here for sale, abandoned in a service station. There was not such internet around by the time, and the owner was selling it for 50000 euros. Now its price is above 500000 for one good maintained...

Lost an amazing chance to buy one at the time...forget that i was 15 years old!! Finally this car was sold ten years later for 200000 and is now in Germany for restoration. It has costed 450000 until now..
