Something like this perhaps?I have the same trouble with pigeons. I have a fish bait catapult to try and scare them off from the branches that they seem to like to use as their toilet seat, but need to find a source of suitable ammunition which will scare them but not damage anything. Mud balls work well.

we just shoot them around here and the muntjacs (bloody dog like deer from the US)In truth because we live inland in Scotland Seagulls are not a problem. However on the odd time i have been down to see my Nephews in Hastings the size of these birds are truly scary.
Pigeons on the other hand are a pest with the racket they make.
I remember once siting in a French cafe when a Pigeon flew in, the cafe owners wife grabbed it and wrung its neck and took it away, no doubt for the pot.
And there's the rub we are too namby pamby here in the UK, the though of catching a pigeon, or rabbit, and eating it is a no no.
China btw…! ( built like tanks- don’t tangle with ‘em!!)(bloody dog like deer from the US)
