Don’t know. Maybe he brought it here to compete in 2016.

He won the FIA Historic Rally Championship in it a few years ago.

They still had cars unsold in dealers in the mid 1980s.

actually to be pedantic, first registered can be any date after manufacture, as you rightly say cars sometimes get registered at a far later date than when manufactured, but DVLA say that it was also manufactured in 1980, so was wondering if its a bitsa car and not factory built ??

Probably easiest to put both as 1980 on the form and send DVLA proof of registration

Best colour by far. Takes the MC20 to another desirability level.

Not a Maserati subframe but they all go rusty if not looked after.
This one is on a Ford Transit Camper 2008 getting it ready for its French MOT.

It's a toss up between the red and yellow for me...if I decide (be able to afford) to buy one...calipers to match so probably red...
