One of our now retired drivers was the spitting image of him, obviously his nickname was 'Fred', which he didn't like, obviously...!

Strangely a couple of other blokes I work with are dopplegangers too, a young lad who works at Wembley Yard is the double of Jimi Hendrix and one our new recruits at my depot is the double of Pete Townsend.

I'm frequently told that I look identical to Dutch football manager Guus Hiddink,
which is nice.

When I still had a full mop on top I used to look a lot like Dennis Waterman. Which is a bit odd as my Mum went to stage school with him!

Unfortunately I’m told I look like Phil Mitchel from Eastenders. Or he looks like me. Either way we can’t choose how we look.

Burt Munro, 1899 - 1978. In 1920, he bought a 600cc Indian Scout motorcycle with a top speed of 55mph. He wasn't satisfied with this, so began modifying the bike, often working through the night and turning up at work next day (as a motorcycle salesman) without sleep. He made his own tools and parts, and over the years increased the bike's capacity to 950cc.
Burt travelled from his native New Zealand to the Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Week ten times, and in 1967 (at the age of 68) he made a run during qualifying of over 190mph.
