Well, the blue cheese crumbled and having repaired my key - and having toyed with the replacements on eBay (the blades on the Chinese ones often snap in the ignition I am told) I plumped for Phoenix. They transfer and secure all the
internals into the new housing and then can do whatever you want with the casing. I elected
for the fob to be painted in the OEM blue with a Maserati logo, but with red stripes to signify the GTS
model and all for a lower cost than a replacement OEM unit. The key works
perfectly and it feels much more robust and to be honest it’s so tight it’s a joy. They cut a new blade which I didn’t expect - but, whilst it’s not cheap- I am pleased! It’s “feels” really nice
