Parking sensor not working

Hi,

I have the factory fit rear parking sensors on my 4200 facelift. Recently, the car was detailed/power polished. Some time later, I noticed the parking sensor feature was not working (the car still beeps when in reverse).

If I put the car in reverse on MAR, each sensor makes s pitting sound if I put my ear close to it, so I think the sensors are working... Does this mean the control box has packed up? Or could the sensors have been damaged? Are any diagnostics possible?

Good thinking, but unfortunately I have washed twice since the work and no improvement...
