Guys

had a small bump on back end couple of paint gouges and bumper scuffs, as other party is not responding to enquiries am thinking that this repair may be down to me, got a £700 excess and don't really want to lose one of my two protected no claims. Have been given Dick Lovetts recommended body shop in Swindon as a starter but was wondering if anyone knows of a quality paint shop in the Bristol area they would recommend for a second quote.

Cheers

I know of one I use in Newport which I know is across the water.....Looks a right dive as most of these places do but he is bloody brilliant...He did the front bumper on M3 last October and some other bits and I am very pleased...and he was very reasonable as well.........Union motors...I'll get his number when I get home if its not too far for you.

Catman

I have got her details but she is not answering any calls or texts I send, I have passed info onto my broker who is going to chase her insurance company and her directly but as thee are no witnesses I am preparing for possibly paying for it myself, will see how it goes.

I'd seriously try getting a lawyer on it. She's probably just hoping she can ignore it.
The other thing you can do is pay, and take out a CCJ against her. Do you have any evidence that she admitted liability.

I thought it was automatically your fault whatever if you go into the back of the vehicle in front of you, no matter what, therefore she's never going to get out of it.

It certainly is Roger my mates Vantage that I was driving last Friday when we were hit up the rear is now with Aston being repaired as we speak witness and police etc not needed. Still didn't make things easier with his wife as he bought it without her grace and I was behind the wheel when it happened. But hey ho that's rock and roll. Phil.

Indeed, but if there's no witnesses and no admission, it'll make it more complex.....

As Catman says no admission and no witnesses. Anyway my broker APlan are chasing her insurers directly and her in writing so will see what they come up with, this is all tied into another recent post I made regarding an outfit called Accident Exchange who it appears DicK Lovetts bodyshop put onto me.
