We’ve had the 4200 for a few weeks now so I thought I’d get a ‘to do’ list written down. It’s in no way a complaints list, we knew fairly well what we were buying at this price point!
After only a few weeks it has already dropped into ‘keeper’ category, it’s fantastic!
In priority order (ish):
Service due - Engine & gearbox oil ordered from Opie. Service kit inc plugs & gearbox filter ordered from ES.
Oil pressure gauge reading FSD - new ordered from ES.
Check engine light on - waiting for an obd reader to check.
Some water coming in boot and passenger door seal.
Clear out debris from under scuttle panel.
Trouble selecting gears on occasion - Adjust cables & maybe replace some bushes?
Clutch bite is a bit high - replaced 15k miles ago so hopefully, unless it’s had a very hard 15k, it can be adjusted?
Won’t indicate right - okay as I can stick my arm out for right turns.
Bit of a whine when giving it beans in third.
Clean, treat & protect the subframes and underside.
Slight judder when braking from speed
Handbrake shoes - have adjusted level and they still don’t hold, so I’ll replace shoes.
Miss matched tyres!
Sticky buttons!
Sticky vents and chrome rings flaky.
In the meantime I’ve cleaned it!
I’m hoping to update this thread as I work through it, might not be the fastest paced thread!
Regards
Moss
