Managed to collect the GS today.

Ewan was obviously correct with the bill being more than I had hoped, but quite a lot of little jobs carried out.

I have to say Emblem have been great and have given a very proffesional service.

Intital impressions are that the bill doesn't feel quite as bad when it feels like I have a new car.

All the work added together - ie bushes, tyres, wheel alignment, clutch PIS adjustment and a good service have made a significant improvement that is immediately obvious.

Can't wait for a decent drive.

On another note does anyone know where the radio code is normally stored ?

Cheers Mark.

Have to agree...I would not use any one other than Emblem. Took my car to another place and ended up with a issue that soiled the relationship for ever.

If they were on my doorstep / or a similar outfit I would too, unfortunately not, so have tried somewhere recommended by another member on here. Got to say I have been presently surprised, have told me a few things I did not know or notice, which will be pointed out tomorrow.

Thanks again Dicky. Twice in one night.

Fortunately for me Emblem are 10 mins away. Which with the recommendations did make it easy for me.

If you call the supplying dealer as stamped on page 1 of the service book, they'll have a record on file if it still has the original stereo in. If no luck that way, pull out the stereo with the special tools, get the serial no. and tap it in here, costs £8 or so:

Sorry to butt in to the conversation, but is there an easy way to get the radio out without the "special tools"? I don't have them and I need to get mine out for a poke around.

Probably not without scratching the facia but they can be had for around £5 on ebay

My radio code is written in ink on this card though I doubt it was the way it was originally supplied.
