Yes they did... I had to have the engine stripped and checked and water pump replaced but all ok now.Did they not overheat it?

And yes will be fitting twin carbs this year to give it a bit more ooomph.
Great little car but certainly not what you’d call quick.

When I started driving back in 1979 it was either a quick Mini, Imp or MK1 Escort.
For me it was a Cooper and then the V6 Capris to start with.
Never owned an Imp or a Escort.

I had a californian with the 1100 cc engine, bored out to 1260 and twin strombergs, and the full king pin fix to straighten up the front and it was pretty good really.Lol, nice Vette, is that a nice early Mini I spy too ?
