I've mentioned previously my eldest lad is currently doing a degree in photography at uni and these are a few night shots he did of the Maserati for a recent project... The bridge in the background id the Dartford Crossing and the twinkley ones are done with the car parked under the Christmas decorations at Bluewater, Kent. They were taken in 35mm film and have been scanned from prints. We will be doing similar in medium format soon!

I have a love of bridges (bit strange I know) and watched thi QEII (Dartford Crossing being constructed; I took my young (at that time) family to the opening and was amongst the first 20 cars accross behind the Queen!

I particularly enjoy the first photo as it has a real drama about it, almost like the end of a car chase with a bail out! there is another in the series that has the bridge deck following the roof line of the car down to the boot. I'll try and add when I can.

......a bit edgy those 2b1.......any chance of bigger shots........plus have to educate my brain into "seeing" B/W photos properly, not many guys using the original format...sometimes it works...sometimes not......these are slightly surreal.......catches your brain out................love 'em...................:)....:)

Hi P,

These are uploaded within the limits of the forum (fair enough given the cost of servers) but I can email the 300 dpi scans if you would like them; PM me.

The first image we are going to print at A3 if we can get it to that size from 35mm. My son and I much prefer medium format and I spoilt him with a Mamiya RZ67 kit a couple of years ago. As I said I hope to recreate these in MF soon but the project was specifically 35mm!

Really like the 2nd and 4th 2b1. Sort of abstracts the car but shows off the lines at the same time. Well done that man.
