Strange that the Ferrari dealership horses (120) don't have the conventional form. The dedicated Fangio photo is nice.

Amazing that the F1 helmets went for such high prices - much higher than any other item by quite a margin.

Not gone through the whole lot but over all I think prices looked relatively good value, if I were an F1 fan there was lots of options to own a bit of F1 history for a few grand.

His Grand Prix winning trophies were around £11k each. Doesn’t seem expensive to me, for unique and historically important pieces of motorsport memorabilia. It’s not often such trophies ever come to the market, as most drivers (and their families) like to keep these legacy items, and understandably so.

Pretty much all are subject to UK duty and vat on top of the sale price if you live here.

Terrible shame that these were sold. I feel the same when I see Olympic medals up for sale.

Surprised to see the trophies for sale they rarely come up and seemed reasonable. A lot of stuff so without a museum of some sort to house it and show stuff would just be in storage best selling it t some one who will appreciate a bit of F1 memorabilia.

Can't believe he's hard up for Cash why would you want to get rid of this memoribillia ?
Maybe it’s just clutter to him. Did you watch the Mouton film a couple of years ago? The interviewer asked to see her trophies, she took him outside to a falling down shed and they were just chucked in there covered in **** and old tat.

Now imagining myself on the slopes dressed in 1980’s Cannon Williams Ski coat, part retro style part Timmy Mallet.
You do see people particularly at race meetings with old and very old race merch. Only the other day, a mate and I were trying to date an umbrella by its logo. It was an Old Spice Ducati umbrella, around 25 years old! Still looked good.

One can cut a dash in a 1980's beige Audi Sport Rally Puffa jacket or similar.

I think wearing it outside a race meeting is the real test of whether something looks good or just plain ridiculous :)

Did you see the Sir Roger Moore auction a week or two back?

Some fabulous stuff (in a mainly 1980's kind of way), but quite pricey.

There were two pairs of his Lamborghini skis. They would have looked fabulous on the back of an Esprit. (Sadly I don't have an Esprit, and nor do I ski.)

Better on a Lamborghini, perhaps?

Or not
