Well I know a couple of people who walked in looking for a 1 year old GTS and walked out with a new one for £25k off list.

The car trade has slowed and there are loads of GTS's sitting in sheds waiting to be registered.

Maserati main dealers won't register them as they don't want to flood the market and force the residules down.

Go to the main dealer and push them, you will be amazed at the discount.

It is a valid point actually. Having just come back to uk after 15 years I am a bit in the dark as to what to expect in terms of dealer discount. Any observations welcome.

I knew someone and he did confess to pushing hard that got a car with loads of extras that was something like £120k list as it had a 7k special paint option and he got that for more than £25k off. I can't remember if it was a demonstrator or not but he paid about £80k for it.

Going around several dealers I was offered 12-14k off GT Sports that were in stock. I was offered 17k off the Gran Cab MC at Egham and eventually got nearly 20k off my MC Stradale after pushing very hard.

Factory order Stradale was going to be about 8k off at best. The dealers are able to request extra funding / re-baits from Maserati on cars that are in stock. Certainly made a new one a better buy than c 1 year old cars that they had.

Hope that helps.
