Hi guys I live in Italy and I'm new to Maserati world as I recently bought a second-hand GTS Sport, and I really love this car!
I was in need of a 'travel car' for long distances, as my Lotus Elise is a fantastic car but not exactly the best choice for long cruising, and the GTS is the best choice I could have done!

Beautiful - love that colour. Italian front plates look right on these cars - not like our monster ones.

Welcome to the forum, Alfarcorse. What good taste you have in British and Italian style.

thanks to everybody!

The color is really fantastic, it was very difficult for me to find a used one in this color, because the (few) cars available in Italy are normally black, grey or white...all the 'colored' ones are normally exported.

In regards to the plate, I'd rather prefer to have a British one (or German, or Swiss, or any other...) considering the huge amount of taxes that we're paying in Italy for just owning a car like this!:battered:
If I tell you which yearly fee I'm paying you wouldn't probably believe me...

something more than € 4.000/year.
Did I win the contest?:numberone:

Then we have insurance (very expensive in Italy).
Then we have the price of the petrol which is one of the highest in Europe, as usual due to taxation.

what alfas have you owned? I take it with that username you owned a few?

a couple of GTV (2.0 and 3.0 lt) and a GT 3.2.
Then I got bored of front-wheel drive and spent some time on BMW's, but I didn't have too much feeling with German Perfection (and electronic issues:blushed:)

yes I see from your list of 'past cars' that we had some 'common' experience.
The GTV was a fantastic car for me (I still miss her), and the 3.0lt. V6 was a very nice engine, but the balance of the car was far better on the 2.0lt.TS. The 3.0V6 was too heavy on the front and even with upgraded suspensions the handling was not so good. Never tested the 3.2 on the GTV.

3.2 was fabulous, much better handling and the tuning was very different, it pulled low down as well as high up the rev range.

Am on the lookout for a descent one now.
