New to Maserati - now bought 2007 Gransport LE

I have bought the 2007 Gran Sport LE at Richard Grace Cars. Its Grigio Nuvolari with full leather beige interior. Only 25k miles. Take delivery next week. Its on his website "gallery" page 8 I think. But as people will ask for photos, here is the link:

Thank you very much to all the members who chipped in and gave me a lot of advice to understand these cars.

I decided after a lot of careful consideration to go for the GS LE. I felt that looking for a 4200 with CambioCorsa would give 90% of the GS LE at a (big) saving in price, but just decided at the end of the day to push the boat out and go for the very best example after I saw this one at his premises when I went to have a chat with him last week about Maserati.

It has had a full inspection at Autoshield and a new clutch. I test drove it and the CC box needs some getting used to alongside the 6-speed manual on the Turbo and the 5-speed torque converter tiptronic auto on the Mercedes. I now have an Italian stable mate for the Porsche Turbo.

I asked around a few other contacts (not on this forum) and the general advice was a recommendation for the GS because of the fewer numbers and that rarity is likely to make them more attractive in the future come re-sale time. That combined with the fact that there are not so many GS or 4200 available rather limits the choice and begs the question - how long to wait?

Anyway, fingers crossed its reliable as the Porsche albeit a different driving experience in terms of speed agility and noise.

I remember seeing that one on Dickies website. Looks like a nice example. The cambiocorsa gearbox in the GS took a while for me to get use to it, once i did, I love it.

It actually looks a lot better in the flesh than in the pictures. I shall be using it as much as I can before the winter sets in - then it will be on trickle charge and taken out on cold but dry days to heat up all the fluids and keep all the joints moving on the suspension as I do with the Porsche.

Can I connect a CTEK charger directly to the battery or do I have to switch off the battery in the compartment with the isolating knob?

Great choice!.............The car looks stunning and I'm sure it will be as I know that RG only uses the best people to bring the cars up to scratch before selling them on.

Full Autoshield inspection and prepped by them.
I like the beige leather despite some remarks I read on internet search that it can get dirty (I think on a US forum).

There is another forum called maseratilife - is it UK-based?

Isn't this Robin's GS?

Either way, looks like a fantastic car, great spec in the second best Maserati colour (Blu Med is obviously the best colour). Enjoy!!
