Not that I’ll ever be buying one without a lotto win, which I don’t do, so that’s not happening, but on paper it seems to be in the ballpark with rivals.

More than a vantage/911, less than a continental/Roma, similar to a db11/911 turbo s.
What’s the nearest rival that has 4 usable seats though? You can probably spend near 100k for an M4 these days with options or over 200k for a continental. But I guess people are scared of residuals on Maseratis so don’t want to pay £150k plus for a new one. Not that M4 and conti residuals any good. Although I’m not sure about the new conti, I like those.

I still think the last Granturismo is still one of the best looking cars on the road today and the new one is a nice evolution and better looking than the Alfieri (sorry, Roma). As per my previous post, inflation has increased prices of 10 years ago by 28% so like for like the new car would be £130-140k anyway. NB the average Ferrari in the UK has £75k options, which need to be included when making depreciation observations. I suspect most Granturismos arrived with £10-15k. I have yet to drive an Aston I would choose over a Ferrari or Maserati but each to their own....

back in 2012 a GT Sport was £90,390, and adding 28% inflation brings it to £115,700... thats some £34k greater than the last car.

Thanks Peter, mine was an MC Shift from that era and thought it was abot £100k new.

I’d a 2013 GT Sport in last week and list was £124k with spec. I’d love the new GT to be £100k, but the old one was £100k list with no options in 2017 so I think £140k or so is about right.

Taycan Turbo S is around £140k base and is probably a competitor for the EV, so 200k seems a bit optimistic. Very few will pay 150k for a V6 base model.

The competition is too strong between £150k-£200k for them to be putting it into this bracket.

I paid £84k new for my 61 plate. Lots of luxury goods are getting far too experience and will take a bath price wise over the next few years. Just my IMHO.

I agree, and you may have paid £81k, but in 2017 they were £100k Sport and £120k MC list price no options.

200k for the electric
150k for the v6

200k is willing money. It’s says it’s their answer to th e a Porsche Taycan but that starts at 74k. OK goes all the way up to 140/150k but that is still 50k more. They talk about taking customers from the Audi RS E tron and Tesla s Plad audience. Surely not at that price.

If those prices are accurate, we can expect for them to be a very rare sight! Launching as we enter a global recession, during a European war, with sky high energy prices causing inflation and high interest rates. It all smells of another mis-timed move by Maserati.
I shudder to think what the monthly payment figures will be, given the obvious depreciation they will suffer, and the high rates for borrowers. So other than the car looks good, there's not a heap of good news for the brand.
But fingers crossed it'll all be okay!

All depends on the discount. They were 10% off when I got mine.
Yes I said this earlier in the thread. List will be what the pre-orders pay. Those who are willing to wait a year will buy below list and if that is £140k, with everything @Ewan says, I reckon a new Nettuno engined one will be £125k with options. A year old one around £100-110k; time will tell.

I don’t think many are buying Romas at anywhere near £170k, probably closer to £200k when specc’d up, if not more.

Most Romas with metallic paint, bits of carbon, passenger display unit, shields, pads, are coming closer to 220k

At the end of the day Maserati will have to sell these cars at some sort of meaningful volume given the investments they’ve made. I could see a world where the base 490 BHP Modena is discounted to close to £100k a year after initial deliveries with the 560 Trofeo around £125k. No deep science other than maybe wishful thinking on my part :D
