Adam it's Fiats big plan to gain Market share and revenue at the cost of de valuing the brand. The small QP is being based on the 300c platform with talk of a diesel ffs!

I see this both ways. My initial reaction is negative and it delayed my GTS Auto as I considered binning my love of Maseratis - the GTS will be my 3rd over a 10 year period.

Porsche successfully manages to sell product none of us would want but it keeps the brand strong and allows the sports cars to be developed. The other thing to remember is where each product will be sold. The BRIC countries want SUVs whereas the saloons will sell well in North America. So if it does well the proper Italian developed and made Maseratis' should flourish with the extra cash. I just hope the new cars are Evo 3/3.5 star cars rather than 2 star......
