Welcome - I presume that is a pic of your car? Looks like Grigio Alfieri with Nero interior. Tell us more please.

Thanks, yes it's my car with I think Cuoio interior, it has 65,000 km and previous owner replaced the flywheel , clutch and pressure plate, throw out bearing and f1 pump. 10,000 km ago. I replaced fluids, plugs air filter and serpentine belt. Replaced Engine and transmission mounts . ( Polyurethane 70a) , Vertical acceleration sensor and Clutch position sensor. I did it myself it was a lot of work but well worth it, I love the car.

I'm also an early 05 QP owner for the past 6 years. Beautiful cars but in need of a lot of TLC due to age and complexity. It's good that you are capable with spanners!

So about the engine and transmission mounts, did you get the original mounts refilled with Polyurethane 70a? Are they stiffer than the stock mounts?

Yes I got them filled, unfortunately when I bought the car all the mounts were calapse so the car drove terrible, I think 70a might be a little stiff if you are looking for a comfortable drive.

So you say you can refill motor mounts rather than having to replace them? Won't the stuff just leak out in the same way that the previous contents did?

Yes you can the hardest part is getting all the remaining fluid out so that internally it's clean and dry.
Putting the polyurethane in is dead easy and just let it cure.
Refit and job done.
I first came across it from the fast and furious brigade fed up of destroying mounts.

I love saving money and getting a better product. Yes you can refill them and no it won't leak out. My mounts were completely dried, they just came apart, I cut the thin circular rubber on the bottom of the mount. It exposed the steel mesh like surface and you pour the polyurethane just pass that.Used a hose clamp to separate and raise the mount in place, make sure you clean the mount good and seal around it so the polyurethane doesn't leak out. If done correctly you will never need mount again.
