Poor old Lotus pls don't go the way of the other greats!
194 isn't going to build a business and I'm interested to see how they are going to progress out here (china) and grow to the numbers they have quoted.
Relialibility, is the word that needs to be etched backwards into everyone's forehead in the factory if they are going to succeed out here, no second chances in china.
Pay me 4mill GBP up front and I'll consult for you out here. If it goes wrong at least the wife gets the benefit..... We'll leave it at that I think.

ep, they got saddled with that on the 70's/80's....I've had 9 of them over the years and never had any reliability issues or bits falling off.....

I really hope they're selling well elsewhere. Not going to buy a new one unless the new esprit is a stormer. However if no one buys the v6 exige there'll be no nice track cars come 5 years time :(

Sadly Lotus is not long for this world...There was a feature in EVO a few weeks back giving their world wide sales at it was still in the low hundreds.

I was once thinking about getting an Esprit when I was looking to scratch my V8 itch. Glad I didn't otherwise I wouldn't spend half my life on here!

The Exige is selling slowly I believe but then it has onely been delivered to customers over the last month I believe...Seen a few pics of customers picking up their cars......It's just a giant killer of a car but over 50k and I just think people woll spend their money else where unless you are a die hard Lotus buyer....and they will not keep the company going.....

I'm hoping sales of the V6 pick up. I've convinced myself not to be a test mule for this one and will wait for the bugs to be ironed out.

Lotus is actually a number of companies, most of the revenue comes from Lotus Engineering who are a design & dev company, i work with them quite a bit on other platforms. I personally dont think Lotus cars will go as its too much of a marketing tool. I stopped working with Lotus cars 2 years ago as they never paid me.

There was that a few years back.....A number of suppliers never got paid..In fact this has been happening with Lotus over and over again through the years and they still manage to hang on.....The Engineering side of Lotus is profitable as I understand it.
