Nero Carbonio touch up paint

So, still not quite run out of car improvement jobs during lockdown. I've got a few stone chips to sort on my 2009 Granturismo 4.7S in 'nero carbonio'. I need some touch up paint but in the past for my Alfas I always bought off the internet rather than dealer. Internet searches seem a little vague, as it doesn't appear to have a paint code, just the name. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy from?
Cheers, Nigel

Thanks for this. I've had another quick look around and seem to getting a whole range of paint code numbers for 'nero canbonio', like in the Chipex list. Most seem to be either 290506 or 290501. So, is that Maserati simply gave the same paint different codes, probably at different times, or are these slightly different paints? Clearly want to get the right one.

290506 as far as I know.

Sometimes different codes given for different years. No idea why.

I have heard that Nero carbonio - can be different code on separate models, perhaps even years within a model. My 3200 is Nero carbonio and a different colour to my metallic black M139 QP. hmmm. just checked paint code on QP and it is Nero B/B so now unsure thesis metallic. It does look it ?

I got an excellent match from these guys when I did my reversing sensors and headlight washer cover

You can search by year and name

An old thread but for what it's worth I just had the front end and rear bumper refreshed on my 2004 GT. Paint code under the hood is 290506 (from recollection/without going to check), however when they came to paint it was apparent the colours didn't match. Apparently the car has been subject to a respray in the past and it's possible that for whatever reason they used another Nero Carbonio code without looking under the bonnet. They managed to blend it without issue but it's something to do with the size of the metal flakes not matching, also I think one had a slight blue hue/green to the flake whereas the paint code version didn't. In terms of touch up kits I think the difference would be barely noticeable for small scratches although costs permitting I will bite the bullet and have the remainder resprayed if the existing/not so great paint starts to deteriorate further.

I am not totally sure but I suspect it’s the alternate paint mix code like BASF. We have seen NC come with a blue tinge sparkle, the correct one has a gold tinge sparkle.

Interesting thread this. My car is Bianco Eldorado. When I bought the car between viewing it and picking it up a couple weeks later the dealer got the boot resprayed, no idea why I never saw any issues with it.

Anyway turns up to collect and it’s a horrific colour match. Drove away, back and forth commences and I ended taking it to Mitchell Inglis in Glasgow (dealer was paying)

First thing he did was bring 3 colour cards out which was 3 versions of Bianco Eldorado and we identified the correct one.

Always meant to ask on the forum about this but never needed to, apart from knowing there are codes I know Jack about car colours but can anyone elaborate on this and the different shades?

Below is the one that matches my car I made sure I got a pic of it.

Our local paint factor has a scanner which is put on the paint and abracadabra it reads off the paint colour which can then be mixed.
