i dont think it will Dem, i think a lot of Ferrari owners and fans think that it doesn't deserve to be called a GTO.

If i was fortunate to have the money, i wouldn't be queuing up for a 599 GTO, it is a car that doesn't know what it is, is it a racer or is it a road car???

I was talking to Geoff and Kyle at Shiltech about this just this morning. Thinking seems to be that the GTO drives itself (the 599GTO is completely undriveable without the assists turned on). You should get into it knowing full well if you don't treat it with respect it'll kill you! Same thing with the Italia. They've engineered the driver out of the equation. Seems that the Ferrari aficionados are now going for the 430 scud as this is the last of the real drivers Ferrari's, though this may change once the 458 Scud arrives. They also had an F40 up on the ramp, well when I say the car was up on the ramp, the engine was on the floor having the turbos changed (owner had blown them) £350K car..... stunning, brutal, focused beast of a car.
