Interesting news, it is truly a beautiful colour.

What I find more intriguing is that they claim that there was a MY20 GranTurismo. That might be a rarer car!

Good point... but I note on their website that the GT is still available?!?...confusing.

I know my first 4200 was a 2004 MY car but registered in June 2003, so I guess there may well have been a 2020 MY.

Given its rarety value, have you considered getting the car 'wrapped" to protect the paintwork? Probably get it done for £1-1.5k.

Well you should feel very special for sure......
....I also emailed Maserati corporate and I was told "only" 558 were made in Rosso Mondiale.....I am waiting to hear back how many 2016 and how many made it to USA/N.A.....

Tis a wonderful thing......... Hindsight!!
That said it would have cost an arm and a leg to keep and I've had nine great years in a GranTurismo since it went. Enjoyed 3200, 4200 then GranTurismo. Will Maserati ever give me a fourth car in the list?

That’s one way of putting it.....bloody idiot sometimes! I only got a Maserati when we needed three seats not two as I felt a 3200 was a perfect family car....
Me too, the only car that ticked all the boxes (apart from being a cabriolet) and still able to play Top Trumps against my big bro in his Vantage!!

I would say the rich chap who bought the Levante and GTS in this color said “give me what would be the most desirable car before it goes out of production”! Not a stretch to think that my20 car is literally one of the last to leave the factory as the paint job may have took longer due to lockdown etc.

Personally I don’t think the fact that it’s a rare colour is what makes it desirable, the fact that it’s a beautiful colour does.
Drive it and enjoy it.

Another one of “the ten” here, have had my 2005 GT since 2009. Didn’t realise they were that rare!

So in my quest to know more about my car and the models, Maserati HQ recently advised the below:

Dear Mr. Felloni,

thank you for your most recent e-mail.

With reference to your latest query, we would like to inform you that 1.093 GranTurismo MC Cambiocorsa were produced globally and 258 of these were right hand drive. The number of GranTurismo MC (all variants) produced in total is 2.875.

Beyond the UK and Australia Im not sure how many other markets are RHD but the MC Shift in this configuration is ultra rare. To add mine is the only one is the world in Rosso Fuoco which I think is unreal, very small touch making the car more special imo.

I believe @Ewan has crunched the numbers on Stradales. For the U.K. there were around 40 2 seats supplied, not sure about 4 seaters, but not many.
