I struggled to shift it as the miles are high side, wouldn't buy it back unless it was serviced and PPI'd at that price. Cheaper for simple cash sale.

Suppose you've done that and been there so can understand why you wouldn't want it back .. After all part of the enjoyment of buying a car is finding the right one for me ...Something different.

Having said that, the one that's almost identical has almost half the miles, is a year newer and is only 3k more, depends what the actual difference is when you barter, bit of a dutch auction!

Sticking strictly to the service intervals, March '11 is timing chains time, big job, think I'd go for the '06 plate, gives a year's respite. They are apparently more mileage orientated than age, think it's 72k or 6 years, but whichever it is, it £1500 or so if you wanted to have them done.

Dicky, I thought the fella who bought yours was on here? If not, he's on MF....I'm sure he'll be along to comment shortly.

Sorry for not posting sooner.

Car is lovely and in the same great condition as when Dicky sold it to me. It is a shame to sell it and I do love to drive it (it is so much more satifying than my old 911). It was intended to be a weekend car as I have a run about for the week and wouldn't fancy parking it at Crewe station overnight. But it hasn't quite worked out as we still seem to use our Land rover at the weekends (to fit in all the baby garb) - so the car has turned from garage queen to garage goddess. Coupled to this things are a little tight as my wife has been off on maternity so using my head rather than my heart I thought I would see whether I get any interest. I would like to think that I would jump back into a Maser next year when things are a little easier.

It is of course due a service and the price is ono - so I'll see whether anyone is interested. I'm not in a huge hurry and if I don't get any takers I'll be keeping it and taking it out for as spin as often as I can.

Not too sure about the timimg chain - I didn't think that these needed to be replaced (or not until ~100k). I thought that only the 3200 had cam belts needed and only the aux belts (alternator etc) needed to be inspected on the GS.

I haven't posted much in the past, but I have really enjoyed reading this forum. If anyone knows anyone who would be interested or if anyone has any questions I would be happy to help.
