I purchased a 4200 cambriocorsa yesterday and would like to thank you all for your help and advice over the past couple of months. Hopefully I will pick it up next week. Looking forward to a few events before the summer ends.

Thanks for the further details and good to hear you're getting an inspection. It's the prudent way and money well spent. Have you seen the history? Is there anything to show the clutch change mileage and date as the SD2 readings can be a bit vague.

I got it for 17.5k from a specialist Ferrari/porshe dealer in Nottingham. did not have an inspection but will take it too migliori whilst I still have their three month warrenty just in case. there was a couple of scratches on the rear bumper and I got them to paint the whole bumper instead of touching it up and also got a new tyre out of them.

Sorry EP, misread your post and thought Migliori were making the inspection as part of the purchase process - purchase price subject to inspection, etc, but yes within the warranty period is good also. Who's supplying the warranty? Might be worth checking the details as they can be slippery boogers. (sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs. Just curious)

EP....try to nail down as much as you can, have you paid a deposit, or full amount yet.......ie....still not too late to get an indie inspection really....just in case.....!!!

paid deposit only, waiting for clutch report on Monday

Ok.....am hoping others will come in here to give more advice!!!! The clutch report aint all its made out to be, I believe the paramaters can be tinkered with and a true wear amount.........isn't quite so "true"!

Sorry for being overly cautious....but a bit of hassle/awkwardness now can still be worth quite a bit!!!!

Congrats on your first Maserati! Just make sure it's the right one for you.
I bought my first maserati in feb of this year and I'm on my second one already...

Whilst it can be difficult, try to let head rule over heart and take heed of the tales of experience from here and other sites. Also factor in the "unknown unknowns" as even when you listen to all the advice, get all the checks something could still bust on the way home from the dealers only for them to say it's not covered by their warranty. (voice of experience with an Aston...!)
