My few hours in Barry Island

Well spent a few hours in Barry Island as this is the closest beach to me and the kids wanted to go to the beach on Bank holiday....I had the bloody beach...........Well the beach was OK..the rest well, the nicest thing I can say id its a shiiit hole...Now I haven't been there for a about 10 years and it was bad then but everyone said it's much better as they have done loads on the back of 'Gavin and Stacy'...............Like what...........printed a load of T/shirts with 'what's occuring' on them.......The fair ground was a mess, it was full of track suit wearing tattooed **** whitts with pit bulls and the worst thing was i took my son in a toilet for a wee, the cubicals were all taken so I said I would lift him up to go in the urinal..To my horror someone had taken dump in it..NOOOOO.

Ah well the kids enjoyed the bloody beach and I got to look around **** Lovett even though it was shut...Took a few pics but not much there to be honest....

Anyway got that off my chest.

It wasn't there Adam..All they had in the showroom was a F430 Spyder, 599, GT Spyder, Masersods Gransport and a 911 GT3 RS...

Shame it is like that, bad enough if the place is a bit naf,
but no excuse for some idiot to go to the toilet where he shouldn't!!

Barry Island was always a bit of a joke way back, but I had heard good things about it.....I will say it was rammed with people and was boiling....The beach is very clean and the promanard is OK but the rest.....bloody terirble. Like you say naff..well could forgive it that as its a British seaside town but the rest..no excuse.

is it quite a small showroom?

Yes but they have a bigger Porsche dealer in the same building...They usually have around 6 Maserati in the compound but this time there wasn't any. All parked inside I would imagine.

This is South Wales Adam....Anyway I took as few pics on my phone through the window so not the best....Didn't understand why they had a GT3 RS in the Ferrari/Maserati showroom when Porsche was next door........Same copany.

Anyway took a few of Masersods car...I really do like the colour and the tech cloth didn't look that bad either.......It looks to me like the mods have been removed to..

is that a Blue dash board in Masersod's GS? I am liking the exterior though, not as bright as i thought.

Such a shame the mods have been removed (and it must have cost a bob or two to do it as well!). It was the mods that made it a unique car rather than a rare car. I hope it finds a good home following MaserSods custodianship.

Mods have definately been removed, i would be tempted to buy it now, you could always upgrade the seats to full black leather?

With you Miles it looked that much better with the mods. Really added to the stance...Did it have a sports exhaust as well...

You could but the back seats have tech cloth all over the place...It would better to get it all taken out and retrimmed.

That's fair enough Adam, an un-lowered GS looks okay, as the stance is set lower as stock, but it would definitely improve the appearance of the CC IMO. I must admit I don't recall whether MS had the FD anti-sway bars, which would certainly improve the handling; and the Larini's?..... Need I say more?

Will say Miles I stood and looked at it through the window for a while and it looks in incredible condition....It would def be on the list if I was in the market...Its a *******.

I think the wheels look great as well, i thought they would be more shiny and in your face but they look quite subtle, only 1 in the U.K in that colour, deserves a good home, it should sell quite quickly really, 3 GS have been sold this week on PH.

Andy, you have no idea how much this car occupies my thoughts........... Having seen it in the flesh it's actually torture to talk about it. Sadly the timing is wrong, but there again?.........

Miles I know how you feel buddy......Just had a private mail about the 3200 AC ketting me know it is for sale...Wrong time and all that....An opportunity missed.

Adam, I think I would still like the wheels changed in colour but thats the easy bit to sort..
