Hi All, thinking about moving the QPSportGTS on. The question is do I sell privately or through a car dealer......have both options available
thoughts?

I bought mine privately, or privato, as ChrisQP09 so stylishly calls it :), so it’s certainly an option.

4.2 or 4.7?

Depends what you want for it, a dealer will have access to finance which would widen the market, you just need to be sure you're getting paid when they sell it which has been a problem in the past if they go bust owing money

Your right, dealer has access to finance was my thinking but is also taking a fee off the final price

4.7 Sport GTS
A sought after car, although I would say that!
I’d say priced right, you’ll always get interest, even private as they so rarely come up for sale. I guess many change hands without even seeing an advert on the usual platforms. I bought mine off here for example.

Yes a dealer will need to make money out of it. I’d be very interested in the car. Please do give me a call on 07734394699, I’ve sold more Sport GTS’s than anywhere in the U.K. and know the market well. If yours is an outstanding example I’d be keen to buy it. Thanks, Richard

I’ve also sold happily through Dicky. Most buyers of a car like this like the security provided by buying through a dealer. The fact that the car will have been checked over, serviced as required and given a warranty all add value and make the car more saleable.

In your situation I would first list it on here (and maybe the UK Club newsletter) to see if there is any 'expert' interest.
Then, if no takers, place it with either a reputable Maserati specialist dealer, or with a 'sports car dealer' for a wider, but less expert market.

The dealer will want to make money, of course, but will also be able to command a higher price than a private sale.
I think that a generally advertised private sale for a car like this would be a massive pain, with dreamers, tyre-kickers and boy racers galore, all wasting your time.

Very nice, similar colours to mine, so therefore worth 1 million pounds

But seriously, you’ll have no problems selling that, the hardest part will be watching it go.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
