That was one MG I really liked...May not have been brilliant but looked really good............New about the De Tomaso link and Qvale which I also liked when I saw them at the British Motorshow way back but never realised that Maserati had a little hand in getting it started.

If you remmber Andy i very nearly bought one of these , went and did the research luckily before i purchased , on the surface they have all the right spec for the makings of a brilliant toy, unfortunately there are only aroud 25 cars that are up to spec and completely finished , a good friend of our very own David Howson put me in the picture ,I believe he's and ex MG/ Rover worker and owns a superb example ,Unfortunately they were in early production when the Rover collapse happened and all the remaining cars and spares were bought up by a guy called ( Will Riley ) by all acounts a colourful character who owns 4 classic Maserati's but various forums have shown him to be a bit of an eccentric who holds SV owners to ransom over parts etc, real shame it certainly had some potential as a good car

regards loz here's Will Riley , presumably before he lost the court case against the Chinese government after they bought MG and Rover names

There is a light blue one that lives around the corner from me, not my cup of tea but boy it sounds brilliant. Also some cars have spoilers and some dont, i think that determines whether it is the supercharged model or not??

Interesting to find out Adam whether its one of the original 25 ...........which legally can display the the Rover MG SV badge , all the subsequent cars supplied and sold via Will Riley were very badly finished off and after an expensive court case he wasn't allowed to sell and register them under the MG SV name , the car i looked at had never been registered and had undergone registering problems which is the reason i never bought it , ad the fact half the interior was missing and i didn't fancy getting held to ransom but a colourful character , google him , he's led an interesting life and claims to be a descendant from the original car maker Riley

It is a little more metallic than the one i posted, will see if i can get a pic of it one day.

Rowan's was very nice in Green, probably the best colour for it.

Hard one to price.....I always liked it and felt really nice when I sat in one at the motor show.....Not much of a boot on it for such a big rear end.
