Every 911 in the dealer i visit is PDK. Apparently the new GT3 maybe a PDK, dont see the point in a driver focused car with an auto 'box.

Yeah, but the manual was not an option on a CSL. I have read a couple of owners have fitted a manual gearbox to their CSL.

Anyway, some good news, i have been asked by Stephen Dobie from Evo to do a web feature for the Mclaren dealer network, better go back to the showroom to take some pics.

Popped into McLaren Brum this morning. I got my dates wrong, it doesn't open until Weds...
However, the front door was open, so in I went. I was pleasantly surprised, it was nowhere near as sterile as I thought it was going to be. It wasn't a sea of comfy sofas and mocha choca coffee machines but was quite welcoming nonetheless.
The finishing touches were being added to the showroom and the builders were still in, but it was pretty much ready. Press night is Monday, invitation night Tuesday and open to Joe public Wednesday.
Like McLaren Manchester, they had an F1 car, an MP4 12C chassis and an MP4 12C.
The chap that showed us (me and my daughter) around was very pleasant and enthusiastic about the McLaren brand. Delivery, if I placed an order today, was next October...
It is also a RR showroom, and upstairs they had a selection of Porsche and Ferrari. No Maseratis though. :-(
I'll pop back in a couple of weeks and maybe arrange a test drive!

Week days are pretty stacked out for me with work, however, fri afternoons are usually free and I can sneak an hour or two at the weekends!

3 in one and 5 in another Adam....Would say bith are tiny...........Mind you they will not need the room as its a one model car company.....Haven't they offered to buy back any 2nd hand ones too keep them in the network and keep prices high...
