So a limited run of 50 cars…

Inspired by the track apparently.Described as pushing the mid-engined exotic ‘closer to its racing soul’…. What a load of boll0cks…No change to anything mechanical so the same as the standard car just all about the paint that goes from a Gloss to a Matt colour when it is dark. Purely cosmetic which for me seems a waste of their energy. Suppose it is showing what you can order as part of the custom range. Awful video as well.

Oh no Andy, you have it soooooo wrong...It THE car to be seen in as it has an extra thingy that no one else has... like the Nokia 3315s that lit up blue instead of the yellow 3310...yep no one remembers that either...meanwhile it's nice to see that a right winger for United is doing all right since he left....unlike United...:(

Yes, I guess Maserati have signed him up to sell a few MC20s to footballers? ... What are they driving these days, anyone know?

I agree, not very good direction creating so many limited editions, there are still primaserie unsold out there and that beautiful aquamarina color is now available on MY24, so they lost their supposed exclusivity already.. You can see dealers selling them below retail price at mobile… not a good start for the car.

I see HR Owen Maserati have a black MC20 for sale at below £150k. It’s only done 1500 miles. That’s the first one I’ve seen below that price point.
And there’s a blue one with an asking price of £152k - so realistically that is also available for less than £150k.
If still unsold these will be £140k in the new year…
None in dark green though.

The Outrun MC20 tracker project 2000 deluxe (I just made that up), reckons these will continue to drop around £5k per month between now and March, when the weather starts to change again. So, I am looking at £130k at that time from a dealership, £110-120k trade. And the tracker analytics team (lazy sods) reckons they will sit at that level and stop fluctuating.

You heard it here first.

So the black MC20 has lost approximately £8k per month over the last last 7 months. A further reduction of £5k per month over the next few months seems believable.

Be interesting to see what the new GT will be after a few months.

That’s if anyone is actually buying them! Not many people are spending £175k on a new car right now, so second hand options will be slim pickings.
But Porsche are offering around £20k off the asking price of a new 911 turbo S (apparently), so what will Maserati do to try and shift some GT Trofeos?

Black doesn’t help it but yes these are starting to drop at an alarming rate. Maserati always seem to enter the arena at the wrong time. These are going to be fantastic value any day now.

Have you seen how much dealers are asking for used MC20 Ceilo. Crazy money - Cheapest 254k and the most expensive one at a main dealer is a whooping 328k. When the cheapest coupe used is 159k why would spend another 100/150k on the Cielo ??

I'm told that you will get £50k off a new Turbo S if you push hard enough. Still not a bargain if you're going to lose another £50k in the furst couple of years. Just like the EV market, the biggest cars to suffer are the premium models. That's always been true but we've been through an unpredented period of low supply caused by covid, Ukrainian wiring loom shortages, micro chips, super low interest rates and so on which made demand outrip supply. That's in the process of correcting.

The EV premium market (Taycan, Model S Plaid etc) is dropping at around 4% per month from new so these cars are shipping 40% value in year one. That's what should happen over 3 or 4 years, not one year. Even the lower end EV market is dropping at 2-3% per month which will drop an entry £35k EV to below half value over 3 years. That means they become more expensive to lease, or to buy (if you are mad). You get the picture....correction underway across the board.

Of course there are some that will escape this, top end stuff tends to buck trends as it's a wealthier demographic, and enthusiast cars also tend to sit such as the MC Stradale. But otherwise, whatever you own is heading south just now....
