Mine had standard paddles, not Carbon fibre, must be an option. I know you can get after market ones. JPMondalek has them on his lovely GS. They're $565:

Maybe they were but mine had standard ones. Possibly replaced at some stage.

Either way, if it has them on, it sounds like the previous owner was an enthusiast, so a good sign that the car have been loved.
