MC Stradale for 44k? What is wrong with this car?

It was on for 45k then got lifted to 48k and was reduced subsequently back to 45k. Pretty sure 58k is the mileage, which u may have mixed up with the price? I would imagine people who buy a stradale would be put off by the very high mileage. Otherwise its sounds pretty good, recent clutch, pads, tyres, and 1 owner? Maybe some on here may have actually viewed the car and may be able to add more colour?

Seems to me that if it has been run hard, yes, that's a few miles. But in reality the main parts that make a Stradale a Stradale - the F1 transaxle itself, the actuator, and the "Power" unit (solenoid operated valve block) - are they not all typically good for 100,000 miles?

it started at 50k....Well 49995 I believe....Thought miles could have been to issue but unsure as the white one that was for sale with high miles sold pretty quick.

One owner from new, full main dealer history, recent clutch and brakes, and all for the lowest price I’ve ever seen for a Strad. Bargain time for someone.

Shame it's not a 2 seater as I would have bought it yesterday.

Well, it is for sale at 'Family Autos', so 4 seats would be essential.

It was discussed in October here:

LT63USG

It seems to be listed by both "Family Autos" AND "Monument Garage" which are BOTH in Brigg, Lincolnshire.

If anyone is heading to Brigg, there is this pub recommendation:

I wonder if the mileage and the ceramic discs might be making people nervous - no prevails way to check them so it’s a gamble.

if this was such a bargain it would be on RG’s stock list by now, surely.

Right so this mileage thing I would like to explore.

Roll back a decade and the magic number for a GranSport was 50k miles. So if your GS had say 48k miles on it, it would be desirable and sell quick, which generally was true.

So the Strads, from what I can gather that figure for these is now 30k miles even though the 2 seaters are 10 years old this year.

So a like for like model (Gs/Strad ish) 48k mile 10 year old Strad is considered worthless?

Anyone care to assist my brain with this one?

I wish I could, but we all know that these cars need to be run regularly to keep them in fine fettle. (Transmission error code!) So this one if well maintained and in good body condition should be a good buy.
No one will care or know about the mileage as you drive along.

These things are hard to fathom. I can only guess that the Strad - certainly in 2 seat form - is viewed as a special collectible car so mileage is more critical whereas the GS was seen as a good version of a nice GT car.

The Strad certainly does much better than a regular 4.7 GranTurismo with the latter suffering the usual mileage and age induced value collapses that big coupes (saloons are worse) seem to have eventually. My GTS Auto is ten years old and has about 57k miles on the clock. If it’s worth more than £20k I would be surprised so for those of you with a Stradale, look after it and keep the miles low....maybe buy a 4.2 QPV for the miles.

You can visually and ‘by touch’ check the ceramics or take them off and weigh them.
I believe the car to be a good car, the seller called me for advice a few weeks ago as he couldn’t believe it hadn’t sold. I think the car is fairly priced and should have sold. I don’t think it’s a bargain, cheap doesn’t always mean good value. Your car was great value, but not as cheap as this one.

Anyone want to loan me 40k short term so I can put this car out of its misery and give it a home?
