My Maserati Spyder Roof is stuck (I'm in UK)

Have tried the buttons in rear compartment, disconnected battery, left it for hours and banged the mechanism plate behind the seat LOL
Have also tried pushing all rails in soft top in case elastic webs have stretched.

The hood went bang, damaged the soft top with holes now and gets stuck at 2/3rds of opening.
Will close OK but sticks every time in same position.

Does anyone know who can fix this ? The roof mechanism so it opens and closes.
Secondly the soft top repair or supply new soft top.

I'm in South Wales UK - but anywhere would do.
Thanks
Kevin

Hey thanks Omar
Ah yes Charlie wants £3150 to replace hood and that's before he starts looking at why the hood is stuck.
I sense a £5K job if I go to HoodTech.

An OEM hood with original glass was about £3K when I bought one 2-3 years ago... as a spare, before the various accessories to fit it etc.., so depending what's on offer etc £5k might be the right ballpark

If the hood is torn or with holes in it you have little choice other than replace, you can patch but they always look horrible and at best are only a temp repair.

You might be able to find a 2nd hand hood but hoods stretch over time to the frame they are on so unless you get the whole mechanism it will be a tough job to fit. Unfortunately the best option will be to go new, I doubt Maserati have them in stock so a custom manufacture would seem most likely there are a few companies in the UK that can do this but its not a cheap job I'm afraid.

Sounds like the rear fold bar is the wrong way when its closing, just before it sticks, slide your hand in between the roof and the headlining from outside above the rear window, feel around for a bar that swings, pull it the other way and try again.

The bang bit might be it snapped.
