I think with the release of the new GT, Modena wishes a hole would open up and swallow all the V8’s

With the state of the roads where I live that’s a real possibility.
Can't believe they have deteriorated so much in three weeks - or did I just get used to the European standard ( not that I remember noticing how good they were when I got there). And they are so quick and good with their repairs. Our road repairers have SO much to learn.

Out of stock again quoting week 16 2024

We have 3 we just bought up and cost a grand a piece. We bought 2 last week at £760 both already fitted
Not good that, being something that is often needed. Sadly this will mean all the £300 Chinese copies will start getting fitted by all the cheapskate bunch, I have heard they last a few weeks then fail again. Wouldn’t dream of fitting one myself. Glad I always keep a few OEM ones in stock.

Tried 2. One failed out of the box, the other next day. $90 each, worth a try….well, worth finding out.

On EBay beware of people selling them as oem

Wonder how Maserati get round the 10 year rule where manufacturers are supposed to provide spares? Is that still a thing? I guess not. Having to wait a couple of weeks for delivery from Italy is one thing but to say April 2024 is not really acceptable…

Don't tell people you have a really reliable one! We know where you live, and have trolley jacks...

I can only presume it's the one that get's the least abuse, and I have yet to ever use the trolley jack!
I need someone to hold my hand

Surely these are as consumable as bushes etc? How they can be on such a awful lead time is crazy.

Reasons like this will be the basis for me moving my gts on

And a terrific revenue stream at what will doubtless be £1,000 a go.

They need to get a grip because who is going to buy a new granturismo for £150k, an mc20 for over £200k, or any maserati, if you know that they will have no interest in making parts for it after just 5 years. Diabolical management decision.

Things to note about the Chinese bearings, the blue cable is a darker blue where the oem is light blue. Chinese bearing has the part number on the front face and does not have SKF written on them. The metal colour is different too.

USA fake OEM left, Chinese centre, OEM right:

The USA bearing (left) identical to the Chinese bearing (centre) was purchased (x10) from a main dealer in New York, so in America the Chinese bearing had found its way into the OEM chain. We threatened legal, they folded and refunded us. In their listing they had used images of the oem bearing….very naughty.

Doubt Maserati made these themselves did they? If not, can we find the company that made them?

Probably the company that make/made them for Maserati wanted more money and Maserati didn’t want to pay, so have just run out now with no supplier.
