Please note that when JC Top Gear tested the 4200 it was an early production car. It should be stated that as the car aged various improvement were made to the flappy paddle gearbox and handling.
I think Clarkson missed the raison d'etre of the 4200 which was always intended as a cross Continent GT rather than a track car. Remember that for those who want better handling it is relatively easy to setup the 4200 to handle more like the Gransport. I have driven the 4200 and loved it........ once again JC gets it wrong or wants to make silly contraversial statements for the sake of good telly.
