You dont see many of these getting broken now do you. I suppose they are starting to be worth less and less so the likelihood of them being scrapped is getting higher.

Works for me. The more that get broken, the fewer there are (therefore worth more) and the more parts there are. Sad I know, but a simple matter of economics.

Not so sure....depreciation is the main weapon of price loss...bizarre 2 GS's up for breaking on the same day...not seen one for yonks!

This one has been being broken for a while....I saw it in March/April time I reckon. He's breaking (or was) a 3200 too. I think it was 3m's motor salvage.

Where's the other one being broken, anyone know?

Surely, the fewer there are the slower they will depreciate, especially the sought after ones.

Might apply to the low miles, special editions.....but they will all follow the the cycle.....and become like the biturbos........;)...wonder when their upturn is...for all 100 of them left!!!!!?????

I don't think 4200's or GS's especially will ever assume the mantle of the Biturbo. That was a low rent motor that never really got a good reputation IIRC. The 4200's are a far more polished creation.

Agree Ian....BUT...in their day, they cost pro rata the same as the 3200/4200s did....true?

True, but a far less accomplished machine and far less desirable......true?

Yes....but if we are looking purely at survivability....making it sought after....that one thing aint enough.

Benny comes back to what I said in another thread that as more and more cars bite the bullet a good car will begin to appreciate. In the case of the Gransport and Spyders that is particularly true as they are a rare cars to begin with in right hand drive

I think so too Pete but I guess time will tell. It doesn't really matter to me as I have no intention of getting rid and my mileage is racking up fast; from 25600 to 34100 since October and I didn't use it for three months! Loved every mile!

Benny I was sorely tempted to buy that 2006 black spyder with 2,000 miles on the clock. Not crazy about the wheels but yellow callipers would give them a lift. I could get that swapping my Gransport (similar money). I reckon the Spyder if the mileage stayed low which it would with me, would hold it's value better than Gransport

Do it! I don't think you would regret it.

Giving it serious thought. My only reservation is whether I want to move on to something else and also I would need a 4 seater wich with a G Wizz and Smart car in the family I don't possess. I wish to heaven I had kept my Alfa GT

I know you are tempted because it will make you more like me which, I can understand, you want to be!!
