Decided NOT to pay Maserati several thousand for a carbon spoiler on the new Strad, partly because it was daft money, but more because I didn't want the carbon mirrors and door handles that are part of the carbon pack, so took delivery with the spoiler in body colour. However, my old S had a carbon spoiler and I never quite got over not having one.
Inquired about the one advertised on here, but it attached by sticky tape only and I decided that was not a viable fixing method on something that gets ever more important the faster you go. Last thing I wanted was to have one disappear on the autobahn at warp speed. Never mind the almost guaranteed destruction of the spoiler, but I wonder what it might do to the cars stability if it suddenly lost whatever downforce to spoiler imparts?
Anyway, I decided to treat myself to one by Maserati Corse - pics below:
Actually, I lied. This is a hydrographic wrap where they lay a decal onto a bath of water and then lower the part into the decal coating it all over. I had a mate cut out the graphic on his vinyl cutting machine and had that stuck on before the hydro boys lacquered up the spoiler. I went for a brown weave rather than silver as it looked better on the samples and have to say I am very pleased with the result. Total cost - £125. Bargain.
These are the guys I used, cracking pair of lads and very good at what they do - http://hydroprecision.co.uk
