Hi All,
After some advice. Went to use the 4200 yesterday after a week and noticed that the clutch pedal felt wrong, too much free play.
Thought I'd give it a go and it engaged gear ok (reverse) to get off the drive, but the travel was all wrong. Went round the block and didn't risk it as I was going to work. Pumped it on the drive and it firmed up and went to the usual 1/2 inch free play.
When I got home it was still the same, i.e. 1/2 inch free play and it is still the same today.
Now I checked the fluid level as advised by Vic at Migliore, which was ok, no drips of stains on the drive. So I'm perplexed as if I had air I would expect issues all the time after being left for a while. If I had leaks then again it would be obvious.
Impending failure of master or slave cylinder do you think ? I'm going to run it into Migliore some time this week (if I get a day off work) and ask them to check it over and bleed the circuit, but the symptoms have me foxed with what I would normally expect if I had components that were on the way out.
