Yep, and at nearly 8st he was like a big teddy bear who loved cuddles. Even though he got lots of exercise and tlc, we never seemed to be as knackered with him as we do with the grandchildren lol.

I echo that. We were gutted when we had to take ours to the vet knowing what was coming. I can’t think of many days the little one didn’t make us laugh at some of her antics. Always a happy greeting when you get home.

They say to test the theory that the 'dogs a man best friend' is to put both the wife and dog in the boot of the car, drive to the pub, pop in for a pint and when you go back to the car, open the boot to reveal who's pleased to see you :-D
