Taking the 3200 down the A34 to Poole tomorrow to see Myles and the chaps for a tracking check, tyre change and MOT. Shame its chucking it down with rain.

Great bunch down at Emblem.

I will be there for a 68k service, wheels re-furb, new tyres and a couple of parking dings...and I hope that's all in Feb.

They have a guy who will do it for them...and as the wheels will be off for the service it helps me out too. The guy also does some special pait work on the wheels...tempted to have the scollops tinted in blue and faded to silver. Emblem have an example in their shop.

Well the trip brought bad news!
MOT failure on N/S/F lower suspension arm, O/S/F lower suspension arm, both front antiroll bar drop links and an advisory to get prop coupling replaced.
Total quote £1660 plus VAT then the wheel alignment at another £150 plus VAT.
That will be over 5K shelled out since owning for 10 months.

Had to 'train it' back again !!

Spike, what failed on the arms? You can get the bushes replaced on the lower arm, did so on mine.

Defect with prop coupling?

Emblem say it can only be replaced as one whole unit £593 plus VAT each. !!
Prop coupling is a thick black rubber looking unit which has badly worn and has pieces missing from it. £348.50 plus VAT

They are correct spike , but im surprised they didn't offer you the refurb option , i think they can be rebushed from around £175 per unit , worth checking on

To be fair guys with 30 years plus on the spanners against all the modern repmobiles that give me headaches every day i have so far found my 4200cc a pleasure to work on and the information that is available i don't have too many fears for keeping my car going in good health.
It certainly makes it easier when people like Bill McGraths parts are so helpful.
I see that im a custodian of my car and have to look after it for the next generation.
Thats how i feel living in a 300 year old property.
