I couldn't resist this with a bargain €9 price tag. I've been collecting models of cars I have owned for some time, so had to buy this when I saw it as it's very hard to find the right colour on the right car. The detailing isn't of the highest quality, so I'm going to do a little work on it - wheels will be fettled a bit and painted in anthracite to match my car. The interior has techno-colour inserts so will become full black. I don't think my hand will be steady enough to paint in yellow piping though!

Perfect MAF. Sometimes these little things bring the greatest joy. I have models of both my Masers at work along with a collection of MC12's (I'm in the process of collecting all of the IXO's) and the CMC's at home.

Do post pic's of the mod's as you make them?

Pretty nice detail on that, would be nice to get hold of a 3200 & 4200 facelift, just for our records of cars we had..!!

That's an interesting one Robert. Plenty of 3200 models (BBR make a lovely one) but not specifically the AC and I'm not aware of any 4200 facelift models. For the 3200 AC you could combine a 3200 with the wheels from a 4200 model and get close, and for the 4200 facelift you could combine a 4200 and GS, though the wheels would be wrong.

Ah, I've just realised we're talking about model car's.

I'll get me coat, step outside and shoot meself in the head!!

:D :D :D

I've got to stop coming on here, every time I come on here of late, I seem to see things I 'need'.

That sounds good MAF, I wonder if I could get the GS model and file off the side skirts then repaint, that would be close to the facelift..??

That would work if you add the slatted grill.

The only sticking point that I can think of is the wheels. I don't know any model that uses the 7 spokes.

Sometimes it just pays off being patient. New models can be unexpectedly made or you do a deep search to find something you really want. My preference is for everything in 1:18 but its not realistic. I've been looking for an Alfa 155 widebody (in dark metallic green please!) for quite some time. All that seems to be around is DTM models rather than a standard saloon. I also want a Fiat 127 Sport and a 127 1300GT!
One of my favourite finds came from Japan. It was a phase 2 Renault 5 GT Turbo in tungsten grey, just like my old company car in 1989!

I waited for *ages* for a 116 Giulietta. I now have two. One a red one, and one, would you believe, a yellow, bump and go battery powered job!

I don't fancy trying to cut down the wheel spokes just to get near, I think I'll hang on..??
