Not sure if anyone will be going to this but the local dealer told me that Maserati will have at least one Levante at the Great Yorkshire Show (12th-14th July) for people to look at.

Just got back. Had a good look at the Levante and sat in it. Its definitely got a presence. They had the Jaguar F-Pace as well and the Levante looked sleek in comparison.

Talking with the salesman they can't commit to a date for the petrol and expect the majority they sell to be diesels. One chap looking at it asked if it was petrol and when told no said he'd never buy a diesel. They have fed this back to Maserati but as yet nothing official on petrol availability. It seems that they don't want to have people waiting for petrols to take away from sales of the diesel.

It didn't seem as easy to get in an out of as the Ghibli but that could have been the height and seat position. Would have to check this again in the showroom with fewer people around.

The thing is festooned with cameras: fforward facing, rear facing, wing mirror cameras. Useful for off road I suppose. The one there had the plastic trident and its not that good to look at close up. This contains the lower forward camera and the radar for the radar cruise control. If you don't take those options then you get the same trident as the current QP and Ghibli.

Finally here are a few pictures I took:

Looks much better in that colour...So glad you don't have to have those horrid plastic badges. They are on the new QP as well.

Thanks for the photos, it looks ok but I'm not sure that I like the front fog being so high & large compared to the slim line main headlamps

totally agree, rediculous height for a fogger...............but then, no height would have pleased me since I don't like the car

The video I saw of it recently made me really want one. You know the one where he has it on two wheels!
That sound!

According a chat I had with a salesman, we need to hope that this does well. The development of the Alfieri is dependent on the success of the Levante.

Absolutely right we do, there's a lot riding on this car. Good job the reviews have been good, now it's down to the marketing & sales teams - here's hoping

I like it a lot, selling my Centennial Stradale and will order one of these.

I was told today piano black would be the standard interior, not sure what colour to have as yet, I've seen the pearl white and the blue, at their sales test drive in Italy they apparently had a black / black which looked good.

Are you waiting for the petrol engine

Most luxury cars are bought through a company, with the ever rising tax bills both RFL and BIK I'm not surprised they're bringing the diesel out first

No Iam ok with the Diesel, don't understand the negative attitude from some people, it's just good business but I think the price difference will be huge again like the Ghibli £14k. I've never owned a 4x4 and Iam one of the long suffering will they or won't they Alferai deposit down customers, apparently as someone said its down to how well the Levante sells, they need the money.

A change in Maserati management I hear as well, an American go getter.....fingers crossed

I noticed a nice Ghibli on autotrader so started looking at the running costs , one test I found compared the diesel to a similar Jaguar 3.0 XF diesel , well , similar until it came to servicing

Cost of 1st/2nd/3rd service XF £260/£360/£260 Ghibli £650/£910/£930

How can Maserati charge 3x the price for what must be the same job , surely if they want to sell these cars in volume to company buyers they must know the accountants will look at things like that

I bought a 3 year service package for my Ghibli from the supplying dealer. It was £1,200. I'm willing to bet that Mrs MAF's new BMW 2l diesel will cost a similar amount to service over the same period.
