I use my Maserati everyday as my everyday car. That means I park in public car parks, at the supermarket, at the side of the road. I do take car when I park but I wouldn't avoid parking somewhere I wanted to be because of my car.
I've yet to have anything spiteful done to it. I have had people stop and chat about it for 5-10 minutes.

I've got a friend with a Ferrari that he's had from new for a year and it's done less than 500 miles and I think most of those were to the car wash! I wonder whether he's actually going to have any enjoyment of it?
Sorry there seems to be some kind of thing that says 'I'm not parking my Maserati because it might get hit' But it's got the same chance of getting hit as any other car (unless the deliberate vandals exist)
And when they get hit, getting them fixed is not really any different to getting any other car fixed. In my experience.

I think if you aren't going to use it - there is no point in having it. It could get hit when you are using it from people who don't know how to drive!
My first post was more discussing the arguments for and against and supposing what you could do.
What I mean about being dubious is I would think about where I would park it i.e. not try and shove it in a tight space where you can't get out of it.
Hope it all gets sorted out and looks even better afterwards
