With two stacks of block paving side by side the whole length of the trailer, single strap over each pair, I'd think it must have been sitting at 40 or 44 tonnes altogether... As I followed it I was trying to comprehend the physics of that mass at nearly a ton up! if anything had gone wrong like a trye burst it would have been carnage for probably half a mile!

If I remember correctly the formula for kinetic energy is half M V squared (where M is mass and V is velocity). So, half 44 = 22 x 95 squared. 22 x 9025 = 198,550 tons. That would cause a fair bit of damage if you got in the way.

An arctic travelling 90 mph?? surely the tyres would burst with the road resistance.

An artic tyre will do loads more miles than a car tyre...probably double or more............Very strong...Plus when they wear they get re-cut if there is enough tread.....

Frank, not to sure what happens to them when they are caught...sure the Police said they get put on the first boat back to wence they came and vehicle impounded
